Is This Your First Time Hiring a Designer?
Don’t worry. The process is fairly easy. Make sure you know what you are paying in design costs and in printing costs. Most first-timers never consider design when making products for print and they end up wasting their time and money. You need to make sure your design is carefully constructed for the type of printing processes used by the printing company. We have two years of experience dealing with local Canadian print companies as well as international suppliers. Our staff has been formally educated in design studies at MacEwan University and the production processes used for product packaging, store frontage, and so much more.
Should You Meet Your Designer(s) in Person?
Yes. Absolutely. That is one of the benefits of utilizing Choice for all of your graphic design needs. We can sit with you face to face and sketch out the requirements of your project. Should you require a quick-release job or if there is any inconvenience in coming to Manulife Place to sit with us, that is not a problem. We can work over email and we can handle the entire drafting process online. Our preference is to meet in person for the fist job. From that point on it is merely a matter of convenience.

It depends. We get some stuff done in Ontario, other stuff done in BC, and from time to time we send jobs all the way to Hong Kong. For rush jobs we will go to local companies like Rayacom or Riley’s.
Most of their in-house designs cost are rated at $90 per hour! We never go above $55.

It all depends on the scope of the project really. A general guideline is 10 days to allow for the really good quality stuff.
